Job Summary:
The Solder Technician is responsible for soldering surface mount and through-hole components on printed circuit boards (PCBs) in accordance with IPC-A-610 workmanship standards. This position requires a high level of attention to detail and the ability to follow detailed instructions and technical documentation.Key Responsibilities:
  • Solder surface mount components (SMT) onto PCBs.
  • Solder through-hole components with precision and accuracy.
  • Perform visual inspection of solder joints and assemblies to ensure compliance with IPC-A-610 standards.
  • Read and interpret Bills of Materials (BOMs), assembly drawings, and work instructions.
  • Identify and count components accurately.
  • Maintain organization of parts and work area.
  • Adhere to ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) safety protocols.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisor.
Job Requirements:
  • Proven experience soldering SMT and through-hole components.
  • Familiarity with and ability to inspect solder joints to IPC-A-610 workmanship standards.
  • Good working knowledge of ESD procedures and IPC standards.
  • Ability to read and comprehend technical documents, including BOMs and assembly drawings.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Ability to identify electronic components accurately.
  • High attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to follow both written and oral instructions precisely.
