
Fleet and Charter Coordinator, JHU Fleet Services

- Work with the on-site manager to prepare maintenance and cleaning schedules; assign, perform, and supervise the work product for fleet of non-DOT shuttles
- Facilitate charter requests & coordinate staff/fleet to perform service in partnership with shuttle manager.
- Project manage maintenance functions in partnership with operations managers to ensure quality and timely completion of daily, weekly, monthly and annual maintenance and cleaning projects.
- Conduct daily inspects on cleaning, maintenance and repair projects to ensure that quality standards are met.
- Maintain comprehensive fleet maintenance and inventory log including mileage, maintenance interval tracking, vehicle registration, and vehicle condition logs.
- Provide recommendation for and participate in fleet procurement process as well as decommissioning.
- Support shuttle program initiatives related to safety & sustainability.
- Perform other maintenance related duties: Direct and manage routine cleaning, maintenance and repair, including power washing, slurring, restriping, sweeping and commercial painting.
- Qualified candidates must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience & comfort in using basic computer programs for significant portions of work performance.
- Experience maintaining a fleet of commercial/passenger vehicles, ideally for the use of passenger transport.
- Experience with driver monitoring hardware and software.
- Prior progressive supervisory or management experience in a transportation environment preferred.
- Qualified candidates should be proficient with Microsoft Office or similar suite of tools.
- License Requirement: Must possess and maintain a valid state-issued driver’s license with a current address and acceptable driving record
- Availability to Work: Special shift requirements, if any, will vary depending on a location's hiring needs. If applicable, availability to work 2nd shift, 3rd shift and/or week-ends may be required.
- Prior experience ensuring employer is compliant with federal (EPA Clean Water Act of 1977) and local laws and regulations, particularly in the area of water pollution preferred.
