Supply chain & construction meetings
- Maintain Interface Management software, including status of Interface Points, agreements, queries, and schedule dates
- Champion workshare initiatives and manage the interface with other offices to ensure quality deliverables and overall project success
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with the project team in an orderly, ethical, and professional atmosphere
- Trust, respect, and positively motivate team members
- Foster a cooperative relationship with the customer to promote common interests, mutual respect, and trust
- Develop and lead workshops to educate the project team (including Customer and Contractors) about different types of Interface Points
- Review the project contract and fully understand Worley’s contractual requirements
- Assist team members with obtaining personal protective gear and training as necessary
- Ensure understanding and compliance with Safety in Design (SID) initiatives and technical guidelines
- Ensure Contractors meet company and customer Safety requirements and follow all mandated Safety procedures
- Involve the customer to obtain agreement and alignment on scope and direction to prevent rework
- Document agreements with names of attendees and issue meeting minutes
- Ensure the Interface software register is complete and up to date, highlighting issues needing resolution
- Participate in risk analysis and mitigation
- Act as the point of contact for consultants or other contractors engaged to support the engineering and design effort
- Monitor purchase commitments and subcontracts to ensure design, fabrication, delivery, and execution align with project requirements
- Support disciplines in resolving technical and schedule issues with vendors in a timely fashion
- Provide engineering support to assist Shop QA/QC Inspectors with vendor issues
- Interface with FAT & SAT teams to confirm Interface Points during systems integrations, especially for Modules & Skids
- Ensure tie-in identification procedure is established and followed by project personnel and the customer
- Notify the team of Interface Points and approved changes in a timely manner
- Work closely with document management to coordinate and expedite information flow across disciplines
- Collaborate with the expediting group to ensure vendor drawings are reviewed and returned on schedule
- Support construction personnel to ensure design basis data for Interface Points are not revised during installation
- Assist the Project Manager with development of the Project Execution Plan
- Conduct monthly project Interface meetings and issue meeting notes in a timely fashion
- Manage a project Interface Action Items List
- Monitor and address changes to project scope
- Collaborate with document management for orderly flow of project information
- Actively participate in interactive planning sessions; identify sequence and timing issues from a discipline perspective
- Understand required information for disciplines to meet milestone dates, considering market conditions for equipment and materials
- Monitor critical path links to ensure disciplines meet schedule milestones
- Hold planning sessions to address schedule issues or changes and implement workaround strategies
- Resolve delays in engineering/vendor deliverables or identify schedule improvement opportunities
- Ensure changes in deliverables are reflected in the schedule for recovery, acceleration, or approved slippage
- Submit and approve Project Deviation Notices (PDNs) in a timely manner to reflect schedule impacts
- Manage the schedule to avoid surprises
- BS in Engineering with experience as Project Engineer (or
- Familiar with Engineering and HSE codes and standards
- Can provide intermediate supervision or assigns tasks to a group of skilled team
- Capable of performing in a Project Manager’s role if required
- Responsible for complex tasks, where considerable judgment independent action,
- Anticipates problems and resolves proactively
- Has expert job-specific knowledge and skills in the offshore environment
