We are seeking a highly motivated Supply Chain Manager to oversee and optimize our supply chain and logistics operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in supply chain management, logistics, and procurement while focusing on sourcing, communicating, and securing materials, components, and services essential to production and operations. This leader ensures purchasing strategies align with company goals around cost-efficiency, quality, supplier performance, innovation, and production timelines. Additionally, it leads the S&OP process and production planning function. The role is a part of the company's leadership team, reporting to the VP of Operations.Responsibilities:
  • Team Management - Manage the warehouse team, Inventory control specialist, and oversee day-to-day procurement operations, including supplier selection, price negotiation, contract management, plant schedules, and vendor relationship development.
  • Sourcing Strategy - Develop, maintain, and refine sourcing strategies to align with organizational goals and market conditions.
  • Plant/Site Coordination: Act as the point of contact for site-specific needs related to supply and suppliers. Expedite raw material shipments and provide support during emergency situations to ensure procurement does not become a bottleneck.
  • Claims & Supplier Performance: Actively manage supplier performance, resolve issues with suppliers and ensure issues are recorded and escalated as needed.
  • Inbound Freight Management - Schedule and manage inbound shipments of raw materials and components. Coordinate with suppliers, freight forwarders, and carriers to ensure on-time delivery. Analyze freight costs and identify opportunities for savings through mode optimization, consolidation, or routing improvements.
  • Continuous Cost Improvement Plans - Drive continuous cost-saving initiatives through strategic sourcing, supplier negotiations, and value analysis. Integrate lean principles such as parts vending and consignment programs.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5+ years in a leadership role managing purchasing/procurement teams.
  • Proven track record in supplier management, contract negotiation, and developing sourcing strategies.
  • Experience with pricing, invoicing, and managing procurement systems.
  • An analytical mindset with strong financial acumen.
  • Proactive, with the ability to identify risks and implement solutions in a timely manner.
