
Field Services Technician

- Conduct on-site surveys to evaluate and document site conditions and installation requirements.
- Perform site preparation activities, including:
- Equipment rack placement, alignment, securing and grounding
- Pulling and terminating power and network cables
- Mounting of displays, sensors, and other hardware in Air Traffic Operations areas
- Execute system turn-up, configuration, and initial functional testing.
- Conduct acceptance testing in coordination with customer representatives.
- Ensure all installations comply with technical specifications, safety standards, and customer requirements.
- Accurately document work performed and provide detailed reports post-installation.
- Clean-up workspaces and legacy old equipment for disposition
- Communicate effectively with project managers, engineering teams, and site personnel.
- Bachelor's Degree and 3+ years professional experience or High School diploma + 5 years experience
- Proven experience in field service or technical installation roles, preferably in critical infrastructure environments.
- Familiarity with rack-mounted systems, cabling standards, and structured network and power wiring.
- Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and site plans.
- Comfortable working in secure or restricted-access environments such as Air Traffic Control Towers (ATCT). Terminal Radar Approach Controls (TRACONS), Air Route Traffic Control Centers (ARTCC).
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be able to travel a minimum of 60%, including overnight stays.
- While on travel there will be night shift hours pending the site.
- Bachelor’s Degree and 3+ years professional experience
- Experience working in FAA or similar regulated environments.
- Certifications in cabling, networking, or electronics (e.g., CompTIA, BICSI, Cisco, etc.)
- OSHA 10/30 certification or other safety training.

The projected compensation range for this position is based on full time status. For part time or on-call staff, compensation is proportionately adjusted based on hours worked.
