The role of the Procedures Mechanical Engineer Level I is pivotal in creating and ensuring the quality of the procedures for Power Generation Simple Cycle (SC), Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT), and Combined Heat and Power Projects (CCHP) in Multi Shaft and Single Shaft configurations. This position reports to the Procedures and Quality Control Manager and is responsible for coordinating, creating, and reviewing Construction and Commissioning procedures, ensuring quality documentation is submitted. Capture, track, and implement procedure improvements will also be part of the responsibilitiesRequirementsThe Procedures Mechanical Engineer Level I is expected to demonstrate high independence and responsibility. They should be able to evaluate and apply methods and techniques to develop mechanical installation and commissioning procedures, implement standard engineering criteria, and use independent judgment with moderated supervision.· Review mechanical engineering designs, including P&I diagrams, general arrangements, isometrics, foundation drawings, structural drawings, design philosophies, etc.· The ideal candidate should be familiar with gas and steam turbine construction, such as, skids, modules, piping, valves, structures, etc. This knowledge is not just beneficial but crucial for the successful execution of the role.· Knowledge of main power plant auxiliary components, including Lubrication system, Fuel Gas system, Air cooling systems, and other auxiliary equipment.· Ensures mechanical system designs comply with all applicable installation codes, regulations, and standards.· Effectively coordinates support to field engineers, including clarification of procedures for equipment supplied by corporate.· Correctly interprets and applies codes and standards and customer design requirements to prepare mechanical erection and commissioning procedures, specifications, material requests, and system descriptions related to supplied equipment.· Conduct extensive document and design verification to deliver a complete set of mechanical procedures deliverables. Manage time efficiently to meet submission dates.· Participate in a work environment of openness, trust, communication, teamwork, innovation, and satisfaction. Plan and create Standard Operating Procedures, Work Instructions, and manage the internal CAPA (Corrective Action, Preventive Action) system for the team processes.· Elaborate technical reports, presentations, and detailed research documentation for all projects and initiatives related to Mechanical discipline.· Support and provide procedures clarification on construction sites to ensure projects are constructed according to specific designs and local standards.· Ensures projects conform to federal, state, local, and company engineering standards and specifications.· Protect confidential information by not communicating, disclosing to, or using for the benefit of 3rd parties. Always maintain the highest degree of honesty and integrity.· Perform other such duties as may be required.
