We’re recruiting for a client in Marietta, GA that’s looking to bring on a junior-level Electrical Controls Engineer to join their growing automation team. This hybrid role includes shop-based engineering work as well as extensive travel—up to 70%—to support installations and startups across the U.S.This is a great opportunity for a rising engineer with strong PLC and CAD skills who enjoys solving problems on-site and being hands-on with cutting-edge equipment.In this role, you’ll:Program and troubleshoot PLCs and HMIs for custom automationDesign electrical panels, wiring diagrams, and schematics using CAD toolsTravel to customer sites to install, test, and debug systemsWire and debug equipment in-house prior to shipmentWork closely with engineers and project leads on system improvementsAssist with documentation, proposals, and trainingWhat you'll bring:Experience with PLCs (Allen-Bradley, Siemens) and HMI platformsProficiency with AutoCAD Electrical or similar design softwareAbility to read schematics and perform hands-on wiringStrong collaboration skills and attention to detailWillingness to travel frequently (up to 70%)Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field preferredBonus points for:Robotics or motion control exposureStructured Text or Ladder Logic programmingFamiliarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or similar tools
