This position coordinates service requests, schedules maintenance technicians, and helps ensure timely responses to maintenance requests. This position is also responsible for coordinating various administrative processes and helping to maintain the efficient operation of the Facility Services team.PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIESFields phone inquiries regarding emergency and non-emergency maintenance services; processes work order information into the maintenance management system and/or contacts appropriate maintenance staffCoordinates the assignment of work orders; dispatches staff to emergencies by radio communications system; reports equipment failures to contractors, i.e. elevator serviceIssues and monitors department credit cards, hot work permits, and temporary keysManages uniforms for union employees; oversee the accounting for and reordering of all uniforms distributed to employeesAudits all uniform invoices to ensure accuracy of charges and that departments are charged correctly for their employee’s uniformsMaintains the Facilities website and regularly makes updates and changesReceives visitors of the building and notifying employees of their arrivalSorts and distributes all mail/deliveries to Facility ServicesAssists with union time for payrollMay serve as a member of the emergency essential personnel staff and report to work during closing/inclement weather to assist in carrying out the services of the UniversityPerforms other duties as assignedKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIESStrong computer software skills, to include Microsoft OfficeCustomer service skillsTelephone etiquette skillsStrong verbal and written communication skillStrong organizational skillsMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSHigh School Diploma or the equivalentPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSPrior experience in dispatching, facilities management, or customer serviceHOURLY RANGE$18.58 - $22 per hourFunctionFacilities ManagementScheduled Weekly Hours: 40Saint Louis University is an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer.
