ResponsibilitiesAs a Laborer/Groundman, you are responsible for providing general labor for aerial and underground construction projects. You believe in doing the job right. Being the best. And you’re up for the challenge.*AT&T experience is preferredIn addition, you will:
- Be responsible for various manual tasks such as digging trenches, unloading building materials, and preparing job sites with use of hand tools like shovels, rakes, and picks
- Perform fiber blowing operations as directed, assisting in the installation of fiber optic cable in conduits using fiber-blowing equipment
- Conduct general labor on construction sites
- Conduct placement of conduit as directed by Foreman or Supervisor
- Be involved in map reading and directions
- Support with trench digging and closing
- Support with the movement of materials and vehicles as directed by Foreman or Supervisor
- Conduct maintenance services as directed by Foreman to include: Cleanup, Wash Vehicles, Landscaping
- Perform all duties according to prescribed safety procedures and uses appropriate safety equipment
- Be involved with vehicle and equipment operations from trucks to other equipment as directed and certified
- Tow various trailers with flatbed trucks
- Conduct Aerial/Underground work as needed and directed and as trained
- Troubleshoot RF and Fiber line and or equipment issues
- Construct and repair underground RF and Fiber service
- Learn how to read and construct from a design schematic of map
- Learn all inventory and equipment required for these projects
- As applicable, learn and be certified on the use of equipment: Line truck, Bucket truck, Cable Reel equipment, Saws and drills
- Climb poles with climbing equipment safely
- Move and relocate RF and Fiber service
- Be familiar with NESC (National Electrical Safety Commission) safety guidelines

- You have a valid Driver’s License
- You have a clean driving record
- You can lift and carry up to 70 lbs
- Have the ability to read and understand maps, drawings, and diagrams for the project build process
- Ability to read and understand design schematics and maps
- Climbing certification or related experience
- Practical working experience in overhead construction for both RF and Fiber
- Knowledge of Overhead Bill of Materials
- City, County, and State clearance code knowledge and related
- Extensive knowledge of Network architecture and design for both RF and Fiber networks
- Flagger Certified for field work as needed
- Excellent verbal, written, phone, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume work environment
- You have experience with concrete finishing, concrete form, asphalt raking and as a finisher
- You have experience with skid steering and rollers
