
Senior Facility Engineer

- Ensure engineering controls are in place to enable safe facility operations and compliance with applicable permits and regulations.
- Regular surveillance of facilities
- Identify causes for facility downtime/upsets and evaluate remediation
- Participate in or lead incident investigations * Identify causes of facility spills, equipment failure, or upsets and evaluate remediation.
- Develop and maintain close working relationships with Operations stakeholders.
- Liaison with regulatory and compliance teams
- Manage program responsibilities including annual RFQ, vendor evaluations, and new technology evaluations.
- Document proposed changes and stakeholder engagement via Management of Change process
- Evaluate and address risks associated with process changes (Risk Asssessments, HAZOPs, FIMs workshop etc.)
- Maintain updated facility critical drawings and documents (P&IDs, C&Es, Control Narratives, etc).
- Project management of facility upgrade projects
- Ensure work complies with federal, state, and local regulations (including safety and environmental) and internal policies and procedures
- Proactively seeks opportunities to optimize facility operation, de-bottleneck, reduce OPEX.
- Develop and justify capital spend to support proposed facility upgrades.
- Define project scope, budget, procurement plan, risk management and accountability of spend on projects.
- Responsible for technical review of designs, drawings, C&E, and Control Narrative documents
- Execute project from FEED to Operations handover.
- Provide design basis for infrastructure projects executed by other teams on behalf of the business unit.
- Ensure facility process supports accurate and compliant allocations
- Development of tools to track and report key facility metrics.
- Ensure facility and systems are ready for forecasted production
- Leverage extensive engineering expertise and rich experiences to mentor and guide emerging engineers, fostering their growth and development.
- Evaluate innovative ideas and review drawings to assist young engineers in finding the optimal path forward.
- Actively engage in meetings to foster collaboration and generate actionable items.
- Support the team in driving these action items to successful completion.
- Maintain an understanding of relevant industry codes, standards, best practices, technologies and technical tools and incorporate into facility designs.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering or related field.
- 5-10 years of experience in an Oil and Gas engineering role with a focus on facilities or upstream unconventional.
- Demonstrated experience in managing and executing projects
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Proficient in Pipesim with ability to model design modifications and pressure drops and experience in network system modeling.
- Ability to understand/redline P&ID drawings.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders.
- Facilitate Pre-Startup Safety Review
- Demonstrated experience in understanding pump curves, flow control valve sizing, valve automation, and piping materials associated with fluid transfer.
- Water gathering and transportation operations, saltwater disposal well operations, produced water treatment or recycling operations, or midstream gathering/distribution operations.
- Engineering Degree
- Experience in US L48 unconventional development and/or execution
- Proven track record of successful project management and team coordination
