- Develop and manage occupational health and medical surveillance programs, including injury prevention, health screenings, immunizations, and wellness initiatives ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Manage appointment scheduling and provide medical care to employees.
- Collaborate with the Workers’ Compensation Department on work-related injuries / illness to coordinate care with medical providers and return-to-work programs.
- Conduct workplace health risk assessments and recommend interventions to reduce hazards.
- Collaborate with the Leave Department to support employee accommodation and leave management.
- Management and Development of Medical Team members including performance management and training on occupational health policies and best practices.
- On-site administrator of electronic medical record software (currently OHM) responsible for training new users, generating reports and collaboration with IT and software vendor to update configurations and resolve issues.
- Serve as a liaison with external occupational health providers and regulatory agencies, ensure accurate invoicing and payment
- Respond to health-related emergencies when needed
- Appropriate certification is required within 18 months of hire for surveillance testing (CAOHC, NIOSH etc.)
- Occasional Project work and participation as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Public Health, Occupational Health, or related field.
- Ohio Registered Nurse (RN) license required; COHN or COHN-S certification preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in occupational health, employee wellness, or related field.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Experience with case management, health surveillance, workers’ compensation and electronic health records (EHR).
- Basic Computer Skills
- Experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting and familiarity with ergonomics, industrial hygiene, and environmental health.
- Experience with OSHA regulations and record keeping, Workers’ Compensation, leave and accommodation (FMLA, ADAAA, etc.) regulations
- Position is on site and requires frequent standing and the ability to walk up to 1/4 mile in an industrial setting.
- Mon-Fri - Days
- Requires the ability to solve problems and perform basic calculations.
- Must be able to travel between Euclid and Mentor campuses as needed.
