The Electrical Estimator role is responsible for interpreting customer specifications, identifying the best solution for the electrical scope of a project and creating a cost estimate that meets the customer's needs. This activity includes working with vendors to define and quote large buyout equipment. The output from this role includes the proposal specification that will be submitted to the customer. This role is part of Trachte’s commercial development program that includes rotations in several commercial functions to build a strong foundation for career growth into larger organizational roles.Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Estimates costing for the electrical job scope.
  • Reviews customer electrical specification to determine job scope.
  • Creates initial electrical specification.
  • Provides technical expertise to sales department.
  • Maintains master electrical BOM and/or estimating database.
  • Initiates vendor quotes and pricing for electrical components.
  • Briefs Electrical Designer on job scope when turned into an order.
  • Determines if any additional resources or equipment will be needed to complete scope.
Requirements

  • BS in Engineering (preferred) or associate degree in an engineering or technical discipline or equivalent from two-year college or technical school plus one year related experience and/or training in electrical design, installation or estimating
