- Provide on-going staff coaching, promoting a safe unit.
- Motive staff to provide continuous supervision of the youth, remaining alert and awake.
- Ensure staff is routinely providing life skills, personal hygiene and activities of daily living to all guest.
- Ensure staff is maintaining clean and organized units for the purposes of quality care and safety.
- Responsible for training staff on program rules, routines, and expectations with particular attention placed on TCI techniques.
- Responsible for ensuring proper documentation is submitted in a timely manner.
- Work with the Residential Supervisor to coordinate and plan specific activities to be carried out during each shift that is consistent and fits within the program's overall purpose and goals for guest.
- Regularly models de-escalation techniques resulting in a reduction in restraints and critical incidents.
- Assist in staff recommendations to the Supervisor as it pertains to advancement, training and development, discipline and performance
- Model, teach and demonstrate appropriate behavioral management, problem solving and coping techniques with youth.
- Deliver culturally competent program interventions.
- Attend staff meetings, supervision and be an active member of the residential team.
- Introduce and/or Implement new ideas for improving the quality of care.
- Ensure supervisor is notified of major and critical incidents immediately. Ensure documentation is completed prior to the end of the shift.
- Must have a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent with at least 2 years of direct care experience in related field.
- Bachelor's Degree with coursework in a related field preferred.
- Must be 20 years of age, have a valid driver's license, and proof of current automobile insurance.
- Previous mental health therapy experience required.
- Have a valid driver's license, a clean driving record with no more than 5 points, and proof of current automobile insurance.
- Pass a criminal background check, along with drug screen.
