  • Directs business development strategies designed to generate, pursue, and close business with prospect accounts.
  • Oversees the development and execution of the organization's business development program.
  • Assesses potential new markets, evaluates business opportunities, and develops strategies for targeting potential customers.
  • Establishes standards governing lead generation, prospect contact and follow-up, and opportunity qualification.
  • Develops strategies for assessing customer needs and positioning the organization's products or services as potential solutions.
  • Tracks business development activities and reports on results to management.
  • Maintains an ongoing level of engagement with key clients and builds trusting relationships with new & existing customers.
May also include responsibilities for International Business Development Including:Overseeing attainment and improvement of international competitive position. Develops strategies to maximize sales volumes through effective financial management. Implements international marketing and sales policies. Evaluates program results to enhance operations and accomplish further success.Basic QualificationsRequired Education: Associates Degree or Equivalent combination of relevant education and/or ExperiencePreferred Education: Bachelor's DegreeDiscipline/Major: Business Management or related discipline preferredYears and Area of Experience (required for the role): 12-15 years experience in a relevant functionKnowledge of business process and functions (finance, HR, procurement, operations etc.). Proven experience in business development, planning & budgetingKnowledge, Skills & Abilities: Decision-making skills. Influencing skills. Oral and written communication skills. Business development.
