Summary:Schedule natural gas while working with traders, originators and other schedulers to optimize and accurately provide activities on pipelines in support of the trading organization.Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Schedule natural gas while working with traders, originators, and other schedulers to optimize and accurately provide activities on pipelines in support of the trading organization.
  • Understand the basic movement of natural gas, knowledge of electronic bulletin boards, internal tracking systems and is capable of tracking transactions from inception to month end.
  • Work toward understanding pipeline contracts to optimize in the most efficient manner.
  • Verify transactions with third parties and maintain good relationships.
  • Monitor pipeline volumes in pipeline EBB’s and reforecast volumes when necessary.
  • Maintain all associated spreadsheets, pipeline imbalances and storage balances.
  • Monitor pipeline notices and alert team to relevant issues.
  • Cross train on other pipelines as necessary to gain knowledge of those pipelines.
  • Assist internal departments and individuals in special projects as needed.
  • Lead by example, support and promote the ETC corporate philosophy and work ethic.
  • Position will be 100% on-site
Requirements: Education and/or experience, knowledge, skills & abilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements for this position are listed below:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, accounting, finance, economics, mathematics, computer science, engineering, or additional commensurate work experience.
  • 2-5 years of analytical experience in a related area to have a working knowledge of natural gas, gas scheduling, tariffs, contracts and/or gas accounting. Experience should include 2+ years in gas scheduling or a related area.
  • Some travel required.
  • Required to rotate on call duties which results in working evening/weekend hours and rotate the holiday coverage as scheduled by the team.
Preferred Qualifications: Education and/or experience, knowledge, skills & abilities:
  • Ability to multitask and problem solve.
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills along with a high skill set in Excel and Word.
  • Highly motivated individual with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strict deadlines.
  • Knowledge of Allegro – Horizon is a plus.
  • Knowledge of scheduling in the Gulf, Midcontinent and West regions is a plus.
Working Conditions: * Usually, normal office conditions.
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time due to prolonged periods of sitting or standing.
  • Occasional overnight travel may be required.
