Company : Allegheny Health NetworkJob Description :GENERAL OVERVIEW:Performs electroneurodiagnostic testing specific to neurodiagnostic department; maintains working
relationships with internal/external customers to ensure accurate and timely procedures and reports.ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Performs all electoencephalograms, routine and portable electrocerebral silence, 24-hour ambulatory EEGs, EMG/NCV testing, in accordance with the clinical practice guidelines established by the American Society of Electroneurodiagnostic Technologists (ASET) and departmental policy/procedures. (65%)
  • Schedules neurodiagnostic procedures and gives accurate instructions. (10%)
  • Performs all billing documentation and maintains all departmental records according to departmental policy/procedures. (10%)
  • Maintains electrophysiological equipment, supplies, and performs quality control and analysis of all neurodiagnostic testing devices. (10%)
  • Participates in activities to improve the quality of patient care and services provided by the department. (5%)
  • Performs other duties as assigned or required.
QUALIFICATIONS:Minimum
  • Bachelor’s degree or one to two years of relevant experience and/or education as determined by the company in lieu of bachelor's degree.
Preferred
  • Graduate of an EEG Technologist Certificate Program and/or minimum of six months’ experience in EEG techniques.
  • EMT, Medical Assistant Certification, PA Licensed Practical Nurse.
