Immediate position for an Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) Manager with a minimum 5 years experience for the Los Angeles metropolitan areaOur team is working with a company that is searching for an Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) Manager for the Los Angeles metropolitan area with a minimum of 5 years experience and 10 years preferred.The EH&S Manager is responsible for establishing best in class EH&S practices and systems in all locations critical for the daily operations of the business this includes the implementation and management of the Company’s safety and workers compensation programs maintaining and reviewing appropriate insurance coverage for the company and contractors. In addition, the employee in this position is responsible for supervising two members of the Safety/Compliance team, as well as, establishing internal controls, department audits and developing and maintaining safety programs and policies and procedures to assure company objectives are attained.A TYPICAL DAY: This is not just a job; this is a dedicated team making a difference every hour, every day. Other duties may be assigned. Coordinate company’s overall compliance with the applicable rules, regulations, and statutory requirements, through development and implementation of a Safety/Compliance Program. Responsibilities include implementation or recommending action to ensure compliance. This includes maintaining all necessary permits for safety and operational compliance. • Develop and periodically review and update the company’s IIPP policies and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable federal and state laws and regulations. • Act as the primary company contact for all workers within all MarBorg divisions for all compliance related information and activities. • E-Waste trailers. • Take some of the guesswork out of evaluating EHS performance, with creating metrics and established targets that can be shared at a management level. • Develop and recommend programs, policies, and procedures concerning risk management and loss prevention, and upon approval that aligns with overall goals including maintaining a competitive experience modification rate (EMR), coordinates, implements and administers these programs and policies and audits results to assureFor additional information on this opportunity, please contact Ryan Fix at ryan.fix@gogpac.com.
