Position Summary: The Assistant General Manager supports all aspects of resort operations including guest and employee satisfaction, reputation management, human resources, financial performance, sales, and revenue generation and delivering a return on investment.Ideal candidate will have:
- 2+ years of experience within hospitality management industry; preferably hotels or RV Resorts.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of Operational departments such as Guest Services, Housekeeping, and Maintenance.
- Assists the General Manager with the operational and financial management of the property. Meets assigned departmental budgets and monitors financial statements.
- Verifies that all standards are being maintained in each area of the property.
- Verifies that all team members meet or exceed all brand requirements.
- Takes action on guest and resident requests seeking resolution.
- Delivers and leads strong customer service and operational practices. Enforces resort rules and standards.
- Assists RV Resort General Manager with administrative duties and tasks.
- Works shifts and supports various departments as needed.
- Assists with the employee life cycle of recruiting, hiring, training, coach, counseling and mentoring.
- Assists with delivering profitable results and operating within budgeted guidelines.
- Ensures compliance with federal, state and local agencies that regulate fair housing laws and resort operations. Maintains current licenses and permits as prescribed by local, state and federal agencies.
- Participates in the development of short term and long term financial and operational plans for the Resort.
- Establishes and maintains an appropriate level of community involvement.
- Assists in the development of new programs which result in an increased level of guest satisfaction and operational excellence.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Flexibility to respond to resort needs during non-business hours.
