Description:Agricultural Production and Trial Technician. The Agricultural Production and Trial Technician will be a key member of the soybeans processing and Product Development team at the 1736 N 1200E, Fowler, IN research site. They will be heavily relied upon to assist Client Product Development team with completing a variety of necessary activities associated with soybean evaluation and processing. This role will involve assisting the team with planting, evaluating, harvesting, and processing soybean for the purpose of research and development. Required- Recent work experience within an agricultural environment. Reliable- Safety conscious- Clear and collaborative communication skills- Able to lift 55 pounds.- Attention to detail. PC literate. Some knowledge preferred of Microsoft office and email. Candidate needs to be a ?self-starter? and able to work under low supervision/proactive.Intake Call Notes: Experience/Characteristics -Agricultural/field research background would be preferred but not required. -Working outdoors in cold, heat, dusty, or windy. - Have experience operating small farm equipment (helpful) or willingness to learn - Have attention to detail and a focus on safety - Self-motivated and able to work with minimal direct supervision.Duties: -Packaging and sorting seed. -Helping plant soybean locations. Driving tractor or dumping packets. -Maintaining soybean plot locations. -Harvesting soybean plots locations using plot combine.Candidate must have a driver's license. Candidate will be traveling to different sites (within about 2.5 hours) in a company vehicle
