As an attorney-owned company, they are committed to delivering exceptional service and expertise to our clients. they offer a dynamic work environment, competitive benefits, and a collaborative team atmosphere.Position Overview: They are currently seeking a licensed Commercial Real Estate Title Insurance Underwriter with a minimum of 7 years' experience to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of title insurance underwriting principles, commercial real estate transactions, and a strong attention to detail. This role will require the ability to interpret title searches, prepare title commitments and policies, and collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders.Key Responsibilities: * Review and analyze title search reports, surveys, and other relevant documents to assess title risks and determine insurability for commercial real estate transactions.
  • Prepare and issue title commitments and policies in accordance with company guidelines and industry standards.
  • Ensure compliance with all ALTA endorsements and requirements, as well as state regulations and underwriting guidelines.
  • Collaborate with real estate attorneys, commercial lenders, paralegals, and other stakeholders to facilitate due diligence processes and resolve title-related issues.
  • Provide guidance and support to team members on complex underwriting issues and transactions.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of underwriting decisions and correspondence.
  • Stay current on industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to commercial title insurance underwriting.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, contributing to the overall success and growth of the company.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 7 years' experience in commercial real estate title insurance underwriting.
  • Licensed title insurance underwriter preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of title insurance principles, including title searches, commitments, policies, and endorsements.
  • Familiarity with ALTA endorsements and requirements for their use.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and title insurance software applications.
