Responsibilities: · Assess trailers, vehicles and/or machinery to accurately diagnose and repair issues. · Inspecting and run diagnostic tests to discovery functionality issues. · Perform maintenance functions on van and refrigerated trailers and brakes. · Keep an accurate log of all work performed. · Troubleshoot reported problems and resolve them in a timely manner. · Perform daily yard checks to validate and reconcile work performed on prior shift. Communicate findings to operations regarding asset availability. · Verify work orders within the computerized maintenance system and reconcile parts usage and completeness of work orders. · Provide preventative maintenance program recommendations. · Identify assets that are out of service, and their location. · Maintain and clean garage/shop equipment and tools to ensure they are kept in a safe and usable condition at all times. · Adhere to company work safety policies. Qualifications: - Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician or similar role - Strong knowledge of diesel engines, systems, and components - Proficient in diagnosing and repairing mechanical issues - Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, diagrams, and schematics - Assess vehicles and/or machinery to accurately diagnose and repair issues - Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail - Ability to perform heavy lifting (75lbs) and physical tasks as required -Will need to provide their own set of basic hand tools Note: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
