ResponsibilitiesAs a Senior Cloud Architect, you will define and implement architectural standards for cloud and provide solutioning support to cloud DevSecOps teams and business product owners.Key activities:
  • Design underlying virtual infrastructure architecture & orchestration across hybrid environments, in collaboration with the service offering DevSecOps teams
  • Define cloud architecture standards and related user documentation (incl. updating application disposition and migration rules)
  • Support and guide enterprise level roadmap and architecture decisions (via review forums)
  • Develop migration strategies to move data from on-prem environments to Azure
  • Provide guidelines, best practices and direction to platform and product architects in the business on cloud-related architecture and infrastructure solutions
  • Advocate and drive adoption of cloud platform and services across the organization, in collaboration with demand management leaders
  • Maintain, communicate, and drive adoption of cloud operations standards and tooling across Cloud DevSecOps and Infra delivery teams (to propagate cloud-related best practices across the Infra organization)
Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • At least 15 years of Information Technology and / or IT architecture experience
  • At least 2 years of lead experience

  • Master’s degree
  • At least 12 years of Information Technology and / or IT architecture experience
  • At least 2 years of lead experience
OR
  • At least 17 years of Information Technology and / or IT architecture experience
  • At least 2 years of lead experience
Additional Requirements
  • Qualified candidates, excluding current Navistar employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. Navistar does not anticipate providing employment related work sponsorship for this position (e.g., H-1B status)
Desired Skills
  • At least 10 years of cloud engineering experience
  • Hold a cloud architect certification such as Microsoft Certified Azure Solutions Architect or AWS Certified Solutions Architect
  • Remain up to date with the latest trends in cloud technologies and keep an in depth understanding of cloud platforms
  • Have strong hands-on experience with Azure services such as Azure Virtual Machines, Azure App Service, Azure SQL Database, Azure Functions, Azure Blob Storage, etc.
  • Able to produce design and standards guiding multiple domains of Cloud Architecture
  • Knowledge of networking concepts in Azure environments
  • Understand cloud security best practices and compliance measures
  • Influence and present to senior members of Navistar on Cloud Architecture topics
  • Expertise in managing teams and coaching less experienced team members
