- You will be responsible for the repair, installation, maintenance, calibration, and inspection of complex medical equipment, instrumentation, and systems.
- You may, when required, assign routine repairs, inspections, and installations to lower level BMETs and monitor their performance and provide input on any training needed.
- You may, when required, provide leadership and mentorship to less experienced BMET's at your worksite.
- You will perform initial inspections, calibrations, diagnostics, general maintenance, and repair of medical and general support equipment (medical package tools and equipment, i.e., defibrillators, monitors, and ventilators) using military and manufacturer’s guidance.
- 3 years of experience and a BA/BS degree OR 6 years of work experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree OR an associate degree plus 4 years of work experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree
- Graduated from a DoD Biomedical Maintenance course or an accredited civilian Biomedical Maintenance program.
- Experience in performing initial inspections, calibrations, diagnostics, general maintenance, and repair of medical and general support equipment (medical package tools and equipment, i.e., defibrillators, monitors, and ventilators) using military and manufacturer’s guidance.
- Experience and certification using Defense Medical Logistics Standard Support (DMLSS) software data application
