We seek a dynamic K-8 Art Teacher who will play a vital role in fostering students' creativity, imagination, and artistic expression. The primary responsibility is to develop and implement a comprehensive art curriculum tailored to the diverse needs and abilities of kindergarten through eighth-grade students. The successful candidate will create a supportive and inclusive learning environment where students feel empowered to explore various art forms, techniques, and mediums.About Us:

  • Develop students' artistic skills, knowledge, appreciation, aesthetics, literacy, self-expression, 21st-century skills, and Habits of Mind.
  • Demonstrated ability to design and deliver effective instruction.
  • Ability to positively engage students and families in the learning process.
  • Ability to collaborate with colleagues to improve learning for all students.
  • Ability to use data to make instructional decisions.
  • Ability to build organizational capacity around best practices, instruction, and intervention.
  • Collaborates with community partners to enhance the learning and development of students.
Education and Experience:
  • A bachelor's degree in Education or a related subject is required.
  • CT Elementary Certification 042 endorsement (Art, Pre-K - 12)
