We seek a dynamic K-8 Art Teacher who will play a vital role in fostering students' creativity, imagination, and artistic expression. The primary responsibility is to develop and implement a comprehensive art curriculum tailored to the diverse needs and abilities of kindergarten through eighth-grade students. The successful candidate will create a supportive and inclusive learning environment where students feel empowered to explore various art forms, techniques, and mediums.About Us:
The Lee H. Kellogg and Sharon Center Schools are K-8 elementary schools in rural Northwest Connecticut, part of the Region One School District. Our class sizes are small, and our learners are high achievers and environmental citizens who demonstrate kindness and compassion for others. - Develop students' artistic skills, knowledge, appreciation, aesthetics, literacy, self-expression, 21st-century skills, and Habits of Mind.
- Demonstrated ability to design and deliver effective instruction.
- Ability to positively engage students and families in the learning process.
- Ability to collaborate with colleagues to improve learning for all students.
- Ability to use data to make instructional decisions.
- Ability to build organizational capacity around best practices, instruction, and intervention.
- Collaborates with community partners to enhance the learning and development of students.
- A bachelor's degree in Education or a related subject is required.
- CT Elementary Certification 042 endorsement (Art, Pre-K - 12)
