- Client and design team interaction and coordination.
- Coordinate the plans and schedules of detailed phases of the engineering work. Monitors time schedules and job costs and adjusts to comply with each.
- Performs the design of major projects, and checks design work of staff and design engineers assigned to projects under their control.
- Mentors and trains junior engineering staff.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD and Civil3D software is a must.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to effectively communicate thoughts and ideas to team members and clients.
- Proficiency with ProjectWise and MicroStation.
- Ability to develop scopes and fees for new projects.
- Excellent task management skills, including preparation of work plans, budgets, and project schedules, are desired.
- Ability to meet the demands defined by the scopes of each project.
- Team building, leadership, staff management skills.
- High level of independence, confidence, and strong work ethic.
- Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering or related curriculum.
- Licensed Professional Engineer in CO or ability to obtain within six months.
- 4+ years of engineering design experience.
- Proven ability to manage multiple team members and coordinate effectively with other engineers and technicians.
- Knowledgeable of and experienced with federal, state, and local regulations that pertain to civil design projects.
- Experience writing proposals and working with marketing teams to develop technical approaches and win strategies.
- Involvement in professional organizations to expand knowledge and professional networks.
