Drilling Locator

• Operate drill locator equipment to accurately install underground utilities, pipelines, and other infrastructure components
• Interpret and follow drilling plans, blueprints, and specifications to ensure accurate and efficient installations
• Maintain and troubleshoot drilling equipment, ensure proper functionality, and minimize downtime
• Adhere to established safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment for all team members
• Collaborate with site supervisors, project managers, and other team members to achieve project goals
• Monitor drilling progress, making adjustments as needed to maintain accuracy and efficiency
• Document and report drilling activities, including progress, obstacles, and equipment maintenance
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring a safe working environment for all team members
• Adapt to changing job site requirements and perform additional tasks as needed
• Mixing mud to correct viscosity as well as knowledge of what types of additives are needed per ground conditions

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record
• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a Directional Drill Locator, preferably in the underground utilities or pipeline industry
• Proficient in operating horizontal directional drilling equipment and related tools
• Strong understanding of drilling procedures, safety protocols, and industry best practices
• Ability to read and interpret drilling plans, blueprints, and specifications
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work well with others
• Physically fit and able to perform manual labor, including lifting heavy objects, bending, and standing for extended periods
• Willingness to work in various weather conditions and adapt to changing job site requirements
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
