  • Works as part of a team to support supply chain activities in country. Point of contact between rig team and global supply chain.
  • Procurement Support – Process Rig Down and materials special handling transactions. Process service personnel transactions and coordinate transportation. Process equipment rentals and equipment repair transactions.
  • Coordinate expediting of items to meet needs of rig operation.
  • Identify and notify strategic sourcing of suppliers to be included in preferred vendor tables and fixed price agreements.
  • Daily communication with offshore supervisors and onshore rig management.
  • Facilitate and support materials, services, warehouse and payment activities.
  • Actively identifies and expedites resolution of supply chain problems within function.
  • Process service personnel transactions and coordinate transportation. Process equipment rentals and equipment repair transactions.
  • Monitor MSH or Rig Down and Aging requestions to make sure automation is not bypassed.
  • Demonstrates financial discipline. Negotiates with suppliers on equipment purchases and rental/labor rates to reduce overall costs to the company.
  • Logistical Support – point of contact between vendors and logistics personnel for collection of equipment and monitoring of urgent orders being shipped to rig locations.
  • Resolve queries relating to material receipt, invoices and purchase order discrepancies.
Education:
  • Minimum Required: Some college (experience plus HS Diploma may be considered)
  • Preferred Level: Bachelor's Degree
Experience:
  • Minimum Required: 5+ years of buyer experience plus 3+ years of same industry experience.
Skills:
  • Fundamental knowledge of company and regional supply chain procedures and requirements. Keen awareness and attention to detail, knowledge of personal computers and software applications. Ability to multi-task in a high volume fast paced environment. Very good oral and written communication. Demonstrated initiative and understanding urgency of situations. Positive attitude and team player mind set.
