- Subject matter expert on the GALLO wine portfolio.
- Intimate knowledge of GALLO sales goals, objectives, brand stories and wine making process
- Successful completion of the GALLO wine online wine education program within the first 30 days.
- This role will be predominantly focused against the on-premise business (90%), however (10%) will be dedicated to supporting the off-premise team.
- Communicate and collaborate orders, placements, listing and events with the sales team and our wine educators.
- Monitor sales performance and distribution targets to achieve goals and incentive objectives.
- Training- Responsibility to leading all GALLO sales training and wine education for the sales teams.
- Reporting- Development of annual plan objectives, monthly preplans and weekly recaps of activities.
- Tracking- KPI’s: New points of Distribution (POD’s), BTG’s, Wine Lists, Features, Wine Events and Non-Buy account conversion, in addition to other potential KPI’s to be determined in the future.
- Work Withs- in coordination and collaboration of sales managers, conduct a series of monthly work withs with both on & off premise sales teams to promote education, distribution and to drive sales of GALLO wine brands.
- Collaborate with the on-premise manager to monitor inventory and sample budgets for GALLO wines.
- Occasional route relief to support our on-premise team may be necessary from time to time.
- Must be able to fulfill essential job functions in a consistent state of alertness and safe manner.
- Maintain a professional appearance and provide a positive company image to the public.
- Valid Driver’s License must have reliable transportation for daily use in sales calls and market reviews.
- Demonstrate proficient skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point
- Demonstrate outstanding presentation and persuasive sales abilities.
- The ability to complete and communicate and collaborate with all distributor stakeholders.
- Demonstrate an exceptional ability to develop and maintain professional relationships with internal and external clients while providing high levels of service by communicating clear and timely responses to issues, requests, problems and regular reporting.
- Demonstrate the ability to work independently while directing members of a team through communication and engagement in self-directed resourcefulness and analytical thinking.
- Sufficient clarity of speech and hearing or other communication capabilities which permits the employee to discern verbal instructions and communicate effectively with others in person and by telephone.
- Sufficient visual and mental acuity which permits the employee to comprehend written work instructions and make determination of necessary actions to take to meet the presentation standards for the facility.
- Sufficient manual dexterity which permits the employee to operate standard office equipment.
- Sufficient body mobility, flexibility, and agility to occasionally lift and carry objects up to 60 pounds, Lift objects weighing up to 15 pounds overhead, and bend, twist, and torque on a regular basis.
- Standing / moving up to 3 hours at a time, push/ pull/ slide/ be able to walk up and down stairs.
- Must be able to drive multiple hours at a time with stops up to 35 times a day with travel from warehouse, office, outdoor and retail environments.
- Schedule may vary but workday can regularly exceed 10 hours. Employee is paid to complete the job regardless of the number of hours.
- Primarily work performed indoors, subject to temperature control of the building; This position occasionally works in an outdoor environment which may include exposure to varying temperatures reflective of seasonal weather and other varying conditions.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
