Ballistics: Testing of energetic and inert projectiles, typically bullets, missiles and bombs.CORE RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
Test Setup - Read specifications from technical documents (Test Standards, Customer SOWs, and Test Plans/Procedures), identify/prepare test equipment
Perform Testing - Monitor tests per specifications, interact with customers if needed, troubleshoot, and document all pertinent data
Data Processing - After test completion, verify, review and document all pertinent data. Finalize data and send to the Program Manager
Lab Maintenance / Post-Test Breakdown - Physically remove test items. Maintain lab by cleaning all equipment, keeping calibrated instruments current, & organizing supplies
Other - Perform other duties as assigned
CORE REQUIREMENTS:
Under close supervision; completes basic technical and mechanical procedures, interacts with clients as needed, assists with basic troubleshooting, interpretation, and analysis of test results
Basic knowledge of Ballistics & Mechanical principles, working knowledge of basic safety practices
Basic MS Office Skills
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
HS Diploma or GED; AA or AS; or trade school for ballistics testing certificate; or military ballistics training preferred
0-2 Years of mechanical experience
