- Significantly grow the customer base in the Auto Segment
- Expand current sales for the assigned customers with specific reference (but not limited to) to Korean and Japanese OEMs
- Increase, in the shortest possible time, a significant market for Envalior EP compound products in NAFTA in order to utilize increased production capacities in the US
- The incumbent is also responsible for the Americas business development of selected Global Key Accounts (as assigned) in close alignment with EMEA and APAC
- KPI: Sales volume, Average Selling Price/GM, number and volume of projects acquired per year
- Key account, sales and program management to major strategic automotive accounts and other assigned accounts. Strategic key account management to Tier 1 and Tier 2 (system integrators) in automotive under-the-hood and structural applications, liaison to automotive OEMs for approvals and program management.
- Regional contribution to Global Key Account Management for U.S. based Far East Automotive OEMs for approvals, project acquisition and program management.
- Prospect for new accounts and new applications and qualify and prioritize sales prospects.
- Establish and implement strategies as they relate to specifying and approving materials at OEMS, at strategic key accounts on the Tier 1 and 2 level.
- Implement Sales and Market development plans to grow business in areas meeting profitability targets.
- Prospect for new accounts and new applications and qualify and prioritize sales prospects.
- Sell value compared to competitive offers and press advantages to gain customer commitment to close sales agreements.
- Forecast sales, reconcile variances and achieve budgeted sales
- Coordinate with and support Korean/Japanese OEM GKAMs; establish relationships with key contacts, understand OEM needs & trends and communicate internally.
- Reporting in CRM tool
- Pro-active alignment with global counterparts regarding customers strategies, contracts and pricing
- Pro-active alignment with Envalior NAFTA colleagues (e.g. product management, SCM, marketing)
- Negotiate prices, rebates, contracts directly
- Maintaining best-in-class communication channels with customers
- Ensure sales call reporting
- Management of conflict situations (complaints, prevent escalation)
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in business-related field required
- Minimum 10 years of experience in manufacturing sales/account management required
- Strong customer interaction
- Strong hunter mentality required
- Strong commercial/business acumen
- Drive to challenge the status quo
- In depth knowledge of engineering plastics customers, products and/or applications preferred
- Expertise in plastics in the automotive industry a plus
- Balance of commercial and technical know-how, skills and experience
- CRM experience a plus
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong team building and team playing capabilities, must have demonstrated excellent relationship building, negotiation and influencing skills
