- Overall ownership of engineering section to include approximately 10-20 employees, ensuring performance on programs
- Performance and career development discussions, mentoring, guidance, and training opportunities
- Overall quality of engineering work products generated; ensuring appropriate use of design principles and engineering practices in accordance with policies and work instructions (as tailored by the programs)
- Accurately scope/cost estimation creation/support/review tied to proposals and EACs
- Support staffing of engineering section to meet program demand
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 8 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience
- Technical and functional engineering leadership experience as an Integrated Product Team Lead responsible for program cost and schedule accountability
- Comprehensive understanding of software fundamentals and applications
- Proposal and program development experience, including Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS), Integrated Master Schedule (IMS), and Basis of Estimate (BOE) creation
- Experienced with full product lifecycle development of complex embedded software solutions in C and C++
- Experience in Waterfall and Agile/Scrum, Continuous Integration Environments
- Excellent organizational, decision making and communication skills
- Prior experience in the technological spaces the work requires
- Active DoD Secret (or higher) Clearance
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
- Must have or be capable of obtaining a US Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance. Candidate selected will be subject to a government security investigation/reinstatement and must meet eligibility requirements
- Experience using embedded Linux (kernel and user levels) or like RTOS
- Understands networking protocols such as TCP/IP, UDP, ARP, and ICMP
- Sound working knowledge of memory management, pthreads, inter-process communication, IPC and synchronization methods, strong software and hardware debugging skills (e.g. GDB,KGDB, JTAG probes) is expected
- Understanding of network security protocols and algorithms (e.g. TLS, SSL, encryption, OpenSSL, X.509 Certificates, etc.)
- Experience with Xilinx Znnq UltraScale+ MPSocs architecture and software development
- Control plane implementation for Ethernet based Network Appliances
- CLI, SNMP, MIBs, RESTCONF, YANG experience for device management
- Experience with SysML and UML modeling tools
- Experience with creating software development cost and schedule sizing’s for new product and feature development
- Experience with requirements management using DOORS
- Experience with configuration management tools
- Software or Systems Engineering Integration expertise
