The Sr. Dir of Strategy & Transformation is responsible for establishing the strategy and vision for the Warrior Insurance Network. Leads a team of creative thinkers that will help establish a consistent, transparent, and efficient approach to the way the technology organization delivers value to the business.The ideal candidate for this role has broad strategic thinking and storytelling capabilities, the ability to effectively influence and collaborate across the organization, experience working with the business leaders and their teams and strong financial and business acumen.About The Role
  • Lead the newly created Center of Excellence for Transformation.
  • Delivers innovative ideas and thought leadership and strategic guidance on topics of operational excellence to help senior leaders make better decisions and work more efficiently.
  • Partners with Business and IT senior leadership to provide overall direction, oversight, and guidance around the strategy, governance, development, implementation, and administration of strategic business processes and technology improvements.
  • Responsible for the adoption and continuous improvement of core strategic business processes and supporting technology.
  • This resource will drive cost/ benefit analysis and work closely with IT to balance the short-term needs and desire for quick wins with the progress necessary to achieve the long-term strategic vision of various insurance business units and functions.
  • This role will be expected to build, lead and mature an optimization and ideation "internal consulting" team consisting of transformation managers, business architects and business analysts. In addition to building the people side of the team, this role will also be the driving force behind developing new and innovative methodologies, deliverables, and engagement models to advance the business transformation competency.
  • Champions multiple projects within the organization and among the senior leadership team and structures and manages the pace of business transformation.
Qualifications
  • 10 or more years in P&C insurance, preferably in Personal lines
  • Advanced knowledge of IT concepts, strategies and methodologies as typically acquired through a bachelor's or advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related technical discipline.
  • Strong attention to detail, highly entrepreneurial, creative, open-minded, persistent, highly collaborative and passion for driving business results.
  • Experience in a strategy/advisory role in a mid to large organization.
  • Effective communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Developed analytical, problem solving and quantitative modeling skills.
  • Expertise includes process excellence, Financial IT systems.
  • Ability to think strategically to solve complex problems.
