- Supports client relationships to most effectively achieve CMT departmental market and sales goals and strategies
- Follows up on appropriate marketing opportunities directly or by delegation
- Selects and develops key technicians and oversees training and supervision
- Develops an appropriately skilled and certified team of field staff
- Schedules field technicians or delegates and oversees this task
- Evaluates the effectiveness of assigned personnel on an on-going basis
- Conducts performance reviews as scheduled to stimulate and reward improved performance.
- Prepares subordinates for promotional opportunities and enhanced responsibilities
- Works with Business Unit Manager to evaluate proper staffing levels, annual budgets and equipment needs
- Monitors project budgets, prepares and reviews prebills for invoicing
- Reviews project field reports and laboratory data prior to submission to client and design team
- Works closely with Primary Client Contact representatives to prepare proposals
- Contributes to strong office and Business Unit culture by working across offices and disciplines
- Billable project work
- Oversee and coordinate CMT operations
- Business development, proposals, etc.
- Client Relationship Management
- Works closely with the Lenexa, Kansas BUM of the corporation to set goals and business objectives
- Has personal contact with clients
- Works closely with engineering staff
- Oversees CMT staff
- Computer literacy - spreadsheets and word processing
- Demonstrated successful project management experience
- Supervisory experience strongly preferred
- Ability to deal with ambiguity, pressure, and stress
- Strong organization and customer service skills
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Demonstrated successful project management experience
- Demonstrated Supervisory experience
- 2-5 Years experience working in construction materials or quality control-related field
- Technical or college level training
- ICC certifications preferred
- ACI and Nuclear Density Gauge Certification
