- Coordinate all special education services and compliance reporting for students on caseload.
- Identify, assess, develop, review IEPs for students with special education needs.
- Communicate and collaborate with Teachers to provide additional academic support in the classroom.
- Maintain current and up to date files.
- Communicate regularly with administration in regards to student progress and development of programs.
- Collaborate with students, parents and instructional staff to ensure that IEPs and Section 504 plans are implemented, including Behavior Support Plans (for learners with disabilities).
- Provide workshops, paperwork, and resources to parents in a timely manner.
- Meet with general education teachers on a regular basis to help support the planning of lessons for a variety of learners.
- Perform RSP duties in an inclusion and pull out setting, collaborating with general education teachers and using ongoing assessment to adapt instruction to students’ needs based on the IEP.
- Facilitate IEP meetings including scheduling with school team, ensuring interpretation if needed, timeline compliance.
- Maintain strong relationships with students, parents and staff.
- Continually develop skills to realize the school’s mission and vision.
- Maintain compliance with all aspects of IDEA.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s Degree; Masters preferred
- Mild-Moderate K-12 California Credential
- Bilingual in Spanish/English strongly preferred with fluency in reading, writing and speaking.
- Experience in elementary or middle school education is strongly preferred.
