We want your knowledge and expertise!Job Summary and QualificationsTakes a leadership role within the pharmacy and the hospital to develop and maintain state-of -the-art clinical pharmacy services within adult medicine. Leadership is demonstrated through example, program development, presentations to other professionals, medication use evaluations and analysis, and provision of high-level clinical services to patients and health care providers. Under general supervision of a Pharmacy Manager, is responsible for directly overseeing and participating in all aspects of the hospital medication use system. Must take personal responsibility and accountability for patient medication-related outcomes. Should represent themselves, the pharmacy department, and the medical center in a positive and courteous manner, assisting all customers promptly. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all. Pharmacy services are provided 24 hours a day/seven days a week. Schedule may vary according to the needs of the medical center/department and may include weekend, shift, holiday, on-call, and additional hours.What qualifications you will need:
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 180 days of employment start date
  • Current Active Basic Cardiac Life Support through American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • PALS Pediatric Adv Life Supt must be obtained within 180 days of employment start date
  • Current licensure as a Registered Pharmacist in the State of Kansas
  • Doctor of Pharmacy Degree
  • Pharmacy Residency (PGY1 or 2 years of hospital clinical experience
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Board certified as Pharmacotherapy Specialist or other recognized specialty practice area Registered as a preceptor with the Kansas Board of Pharmacy
  • Registered as a preceptor with the Kansas Board of Pharmacy
  • Specialty residency training (PGY2)
  • Specialty fellowship training
  • Three years of clinical experience in adult medicine pharmacy
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively
  • Knowledge of State and Federal laws, TJC, ad professional practice standards
