Minimum qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Networking or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience as a Manufacturing, Quality, Reliability, or Product Engineer.
  • 7 years of experience in network hardware quality, failure analysis, or Networking field engineering.
Experience developing quality plans, supplier audits, driving yield improvements, corrective actions, PFMEA, DOE and 8D.Preferred qualifications:
  • Experience with OEM Networking OS software design, development, debugging, and release management.
  • Knowledge of network hardware and software design, manufacturing, characterization, qualification, testing, quality, reliability, field failures, NTF, and product issue resolution.
  • Knowledge of software development, deployment, and production environment and bug tracking/metrics and associated improvements, testing and validation.
  • Ability to deliver, organize, and resolve conflicts and communicate with ease at all levels.

As a Manufacturing Engineer, you evaluate the product designs and create the processes, tools and procedures behind Google’s powerful search technology.   • Develop and implement Supplier quality programs including continuous quality improvement initiatives.
  • Drive failure analyses, establish root causes, and drive corrective and preventative actions.
  • Manage supplier quality performance, lead and manage sustaining product quality metrics (e.g., metric calculation, metric resolution, trend review, internal reporting).
  • Perform regular audits of Supplier manufacturing facilities and assess production control and quality programs, identify shortfalls to expectation, and secure resolution.
  • Lead management of Product Change Notifications (PCNs) and drive appropriate evaluation and qualification with Engineering teams.
