Position Overview:The Operations Manager is tasked with overseeing and updating operational activities, ensuring the availability of adequate resources for operational groups. This role is integral in maintaining compliance with all Quality and Business Operating System requirements and actively promoting continuous improvement within the company's facility.Key Responsibilities and Authorities:- Leading and motivating employees to achieve facility goals and targets.- Assisting the General Manager in managing operations to prevent and correct any negative variances.- Collaborating with the management team to meet customer requirements and liaise with customers as needed.- Working alongside the company's management team to achieve organizational goals and targets.- Assisting in developing and implementing Quality and Business Operating systems.- Championing continuous improvement initiatives in production departments.- Engaging with customers to evaluate and enhance services.- Fostering a team atmosphere through cross-functional team collaborations.- Monitoring departmental goals via the performance management program.- Ensuring timely completion of Performance Management Program for subordinates.- Developing and reviewing production and capacity plans, along with inventory targets.- Striving to exceed customer satisfaction targets.- Ensuring adequate departmental resources, including training, safety standards, and tools.- Providing support for Production Supervisors during absences.- Leading continuous improvement efforts across all business areas.- Supporting and directing lean initiatives.- Contributing to the development and execution of corrective action plans as needed.- Managing the development and communication of supplier or customer constraint plans.- Demonstrating professionalism and decision-making abilities.- Leading by example to ensure TS/ISO standards compliance, including participation in audits.- Participating in Joint Health and Safety Committee meetings and accident investigations.- Directing managers and supervisors to maintain positive employee relations and a safe work environment.- Ensuring awareness and understanding of ISO 14001, ISO/TS 16949 standards, and company policies.- Participating in management system audit events and corrective actions.- Ensuring employee compliance with Occupational Health and Safety Act.- Promoting a consistent atmosphere of teamwork.- Maintaining a clean and safe work environment.- Assisting employees in customer satisfaction-focused operations.- Ensuring all employees receive appropriate training and understand their job tasks.Experience Requirements:- At least 7 years of progressive experience in plant operations within a large automotive environment, including a minimum of 5 years in leadership roles.- Experience in paint applications, tooling, plastic injection molding, and assembly operations.- Experience in managing positive labor relations.
