Dog Walker

• We are in the peace-of-mind business. We provide reliable care for pet parents who are busy working or traveling.
• Our dog walking services are performed in neighborhoods and on local trails.
• We visit clients’ homes to care for their pets. This could include walking dogs, caring for cats, and various household tasks (watering plants and collecting mail).
• As a pet care provider with Walden Pet, you will drive to these appointments, check in and check out using our mobile app, and write informative updates with pictures to let clients know how their pets and homes are doing.
• Our busiest period is 9am to 3pm during the weekday: additional earning opportunities during evenings, weekends, and holidays. Our operating hours are from 9am to 6pm.
• Our team member positions on average start at 15 to 25 hours a week. We have a culture of helping out team members and encouraging team members to pick up extra hours as wanted and needed, so up to 35 hours a week is absolutely possible, if desired. This is a flexible position, but we do ask for consistent week-to-week availability.
• We provide services in Concord, Carlisle, Lincoln, Maynard, Acton, and nearby Massachusetts communities. You would not be expected to service all of those areas.

• With us, you are an employee, not an independent contractor. Our liability insurance, bonding, and workers’ compensation insurance protect you. We will also provide the necessary equipment, fully paid, hands-on training, and Pet CPR/First Aid Certification.
• Mileage reimbursement and cell phone stipend.

• Create a safe and positive walking environment for our client's dogs.
• You may be asked to provide transport for the client's dogs. This will increase your potential earnings. We can provide car seat covers to protect your interior.
• Follow the client-provided care instructions, including training preferences.
• Provide detailed and attentive care for our client's cats.
• Give our clients first-class customer service with a personal touch.
• Contribute to the team effort by working as a team player.
• Practice time management to ensure on-time arrivals for all assigned visits.

• An honest, patient, and enthusiastic candidate who can provide our client's dogs and cats with the highest quality visits possible.
• The candidate should have a strong understanding of safety and time management.
• Previous professional or volunteer experience with animals is preferred, but a positive attitude with a desire to learn is just as important.
• The candidate should enjoy an active work environment, walking independently and working outdoors regardless of weather conditions.
• Special consideration for candidates with evening, weekend, and holiday availability.

• Many members of our staff were previously dog walkers with on-demand services, doggy daycare staff, dog groomers, or volunteers at a local shelter.
