- Hire, train, and manage a team of automotive salespeople
- Coach and train salespeople on best practices for closing deals and provide guidance to improve sales performance
- Set sales goals and budgets, track progress, and manage team to achieve and exceed those targets
- Assist customers in selecting a vehicle by:
- Asking questions and listening carefully to their responses
- Explaining and presenting vehicle performance, application, and benefits to prospective customers
- Describing relevant optional equipment/products
- Overcome customer objections, assist team with closing sales, and perform all other steps of the sales process in accordance with company standards
- Appraise, acquire, and manage reconditioning of used vehicles for resale
- Assist in development of advertising campaigns and other promotions
- Previous dealership and management experience a must
- Leadership skills with a passion for training fellow employees
- Enthusiasm with high energy throughout the sales workday
- Goal-oriented, friendly personality, especially when negotiating pricing
- Attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities
- Quality customer service, communication, computer and basic math skills
- Professional and team-oriented attitude is a must
- Understand and comply with federal, state, and local regulations that affect vehicle sales
- Clean driving record & valid driver’s license
- Some Saturday’s required
