The GHRC supports and advances multi-disciplinary large animal and insect vector research, education, and training opportunities for faculty at Texas A&M and their partners from other academic institutions and industry. To learn more, visitWhat We WantThe GHRC is currently in search of a highly qualified Biocontainment Facility Network Program Coordinator. In this role, the selected candidate will be responsible for scheduling and facilitating working group meetings, liaising with network members, and assisting with preparation of written reports and presentations. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree along with at least four years of related experience including project coordination, project management, or science communications. Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential. Additionally, proficiency in basic graphic design, along with experience in event planning and/or project management, is required. The candidate must possess the ability to discuss and handle potentially sensitive and confidential information professionally, particularly between State and Federal Government agencies or institutions. If the description sounds interesting to you, we invite you to apply to be considered for this opportunity to join our team.What You Need to KnowCompensation will be commensurate to selected hire’s experience.A cover letter and resume are strongly recommended.QualificationsRequired Education and Experience:Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.Four years’ related experience such as project coordination, project management, or science communications.Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Ability to perform all tasks and job responsibilities safely without injury to self and others in compliance with A&M System guidelines.Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others.Knowledge and experience with event planning and/or project management.Ability to professionally discuss and handle potentially sensitive and confidential information between State and Federal Government agencies or institutions.Preferred Qualifications:Four years’ experience in agricultural or life sciences.Basic graphic design skills.ResponsibilitiesManaging and Supporting Network Working Groups: Plans, implements and evaluates programs to assist with management of tasks required in facilitating the U.S. Federal and University Biocontainment Facility Research Network through collaborations and knowledge sharing with network members. Effectively communicate with working group members and ensure the groups achieve their agreed outputs, milestones, and program outcomes. Collaborates with Network Program Manager to develop and conduct activities to engage and manage program objectives including regularly scheduled working group conference calls, seminars, and workshops as well as creating collaborative opportunities to complement, enhance, and expand the science programs between the respective network members.Preparing Reports and Proposals: Contribute to designing, researching, and compiling information and preparing written reports and presentations to fulfill project tasks and deliverables.Managing and Supporting Network Membership: Plans, organizes, and manages the day-to-day network program activities, developing and implementing procedures for the administration of the network program and communications between network leadership and working group members.Managing Network Website and Communications: Responsible for managing network member engagement by generating content and facilitating communications via the Microsoft Teams platform, as well as providing regular content updates for the network website and LinkedIn page.
