Job Description:As a Systems Analyst Intern at Atlantic Health System, you will join the ISS Health Information Management (HIM) Support team and contribute to the implementation and support of the Epic EMR system. You will work with Epic HIM, Coding and Reimbursement, Deficiency Tracking, Release of Information, and Identity modules, as well as other revenue systems such as OnBase and 3M 360. You will collaborate with other team members to solve problems and deliver solutions in a professional manner. You will also develop your skills and knowledge in the healthcare IT domain. Systems Analyst Intern responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Work with the HIM team to support implementation and troubleshooting of Epic EMR system involving critical patient data
  • Run record audits in collaboration with our legal team
  • Utilize process management skills to oversee HIM projects from beginning to end
  • Make suggestions for improving existing documentation system and supporting go-live of new documentation system
Qualifications:Qualifications
  • Applicants must be currently enrolled in a full-time accredited undergraduate or graduate program at a public or private College/University, and be in good academic standing at their institution
  • Must be committed to completing the duration of the internship from June - August 2024
  • Must be committed to work 37.5 hours per week and commit to a minimum of 375 hours for the duration of the internship
  • Must be a US Citizen/Permanent Resident
  • Applicants with majors in Health Information Management, Information Technology, or Healthcare Administration with an IT focus strongly encouraged to apply
  • Demonstrate strong analytical, teamwork, and problem-solving skills
  • Desired candidate will be a self-starter with a proactive mindset
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel
  • Must have strong communication skills
