Instructor, Fleet Training (Part-Time)

- Instruct Pilots on Aircraft Systems and Flight Management Systems using classroom instruction and aircraft simulators, closely adhering to approved curricula in the allotted time for each instructional module
- Validate satisfactory completion of ground and various training modules
- Facilitate courses including general subjects, pilot indoctrination, performance, and aircraft systems, in both a classroom setting and utilizing flight training devices such as a Flight Training Device (FTD), or Full Flight Simulator (FFS)
- Assists the Fleet Training Development Manager in maintaining lesson plans, instructor guides, and curriculum for classroom and device training
- Administrates computer-based training to ensure the training is adequate for the type of training for which they are used
- Perform administrative duties to include but not limited to: 1) Developing, administering, and grading exams; 2) producing accurate and complete rosters and training records
- Coordinate with other company trainers on standardized information
- Professional development and other related duties as assigned
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must hold a valid FAA Airline Transport Pilot Certificate with at least one (1) Turbojet Type Rating
- Must meet the requirements of 14 CFR 121.436
- Must have 2000 hours of Part 121 (or foreign CAA equivalent, or Military equivalent) flying time
- Requires excellent written and oral communication skills and maintain a disciplined attitude toward the highest training standards and company requirements
- Proven public speaking ability and effectiveness in conducting classroom instruction
- Requires detail-oriented, attention to accuracy and commitment to the highest quality of presentation (verbal and written; professionalism in dress, grooming, and professional presence)
- Demonstrated computer literacy in Word and PowerPoint (Excel is a plus); with knowledge of and comfort with computer systems
- Must be willing to work flexible, part-time hours within the 0400-0230 time period and within a 7-day work period
- College Degree
- Previous instructional experience, preferably in Simulators in a Part 121 or Part 142 training organization
- Boeing 717, 787, Airbus A330, A321 knowledge and experience or type rating
- ETOPS and International operations experience
- Experience in curriculum design for adult learning
- Experience using MINT Record Keeping System
