Job Description:Find your purpose as a Patient Access Assistant with CentraCare Pediatric Well Child Clinic at the CentraCare Plaza in Saint Cloud!As a Patient Access Assistant, you are often the first point of contact for our patients. In this highly visibility role, you will welcome patients and check them in for their appointment.Basic Responsibilities:
  • Verify patient information.
  • Verify insurance information.
  • Process complex documents checking for accuracy and completeness.
  • Schedule appointments or transmit information to other departments.
  • Obtain and identify information necessary to produce billable patient accounts.
  • Manage the switchboard.
  • Exercise professional judgment and apply detailed knowledge of facility procedures related to the work performed.
Schedule:
  • Full-Time | 80 hours per 2-week pay period.
  • Monday - Friday 8:15 a.m. to 4:45 p.m.
  • Occasional Saturday 7 a.m. to noon.
Pay:
  • $17.57 per hour however, we pay more for experience.

Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Excellent customer service skills and strong attention to detail
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Will need to drive to other clinics within St Cloud as needed. Will use personal vehicle.
Preferred:
  • One to two year post high school training in clerical, secretarial, or business.
  • One-year prior experience in scheduling, billing, patient access, accounts receivable and/or collections experience in healthcare.
