We invest in our employees, clients and partner relationships, as well as, in the technology and resources necessary to remain competitive, working in a competitive environment that inspires innovation.What we do:As a recognized leader in providing Private Markets Solutions to clients across the globe we manage approximately $120 billion in discretionary assets and have oversight of an additional $782 billion in non-discretionary assets as of December 31, 2023.The Opportunity:As the Head of Corporate Communications at Hamilton Lane, you will report to the Chief Operating Officer and work closely with our senior leadership to effectively represent our corporate brand, manage stakeholder relationships, and ensure consistent messaging across the firm.Your responsibilities will include:
  • Develop and deliver strategic and tactical communications/public relations campaigns that drive organizational goals.
  • Serve as strategic communications advisor to senior leadership.
  • Coordinate and deliver internal and external communications with business leaders, marketing, external partners, and support agencies.
  • Manage communications/PR agency on campaign execution and measurement.
  • Protect and enhance the reputation of the firm - both externally and among employees.
  • Create and maintain the corporate communications budget and annual spend.
  • Oversee internal events, corporate branding, and digital presence (i.e. website, social media)
  • Using data and analytics to inform strategy, decision making, and the success of initiatives.
  • Lead special projects as assigned
Your background will include:
  • Bachelor's degree in public relations, communications, journalism, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (10+ years) in PR, corporate communications, or media relations in a financial services firm, preferably in a global or multinational organization working across time zones, and cultures.
  • The executive presence to work with the C-suite; strong ability to collaborate with senior management, internal and external partners across multiple teams and disciplines.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively convey complex information to various audiences in relatable terms, including advanced copy-writing and copy-editing abilities.
  • Insights and data-driven with the ability to link business results to PR strategy.
  • Extensive experience in media relations and issues management, including experience handling reputational crises quickly and professionally.
  • Ability to translate ideas into communications programs with sustainable activity and initiatives and make complex financial messages accessible and intuitive.
  • Proficiency in managing relationships with media outlets, journalists, and industry influencers.
  • Effective team player with the ability to drive initiatives independently.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and proficiency with communications technologies, digital marketing and social media, and content development strategies, with experience leveraging these platforms for public relations purposes.
  • Superior project management, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to navigate complex and fast-paced environments.
