The highly trained staff at EnviroVantage is looking to add to our Mid-Atlantic team as we continue to grow.This Asbestos Supervisor position will be responsible for the direct oversight and management of crews on site day to day at Aberdeen Proving Ground, Edgewood, MD. Will be expected to work inside containment along crews and drive production to stay on schedule. Responsible for ensuring all abatement crews uphold all safety standards. Communicate written daily production and reporting to the Site Superintendent in EnglishEssential Functions:
  • Supervise and direct abatement crews, while also working inside containment alongside crews to drive production to stay on schedule.
  • Responsible for getting job completed in a safe and efficient manner
  • Uphold all necessary State and Federal safety standards and ensure all best practices and EnviroVantage standards are followed
  • Ensure implementation of project specific work plans
  • Manage crew’s labor and equipment time to achieve maximum productivity and meet budgets
  • Interface and communicate with clients in a professional manner
  • Oversee delivery and off-loading of supplies and materials.
  • Ensure equipment is put away and jobsite is clean at the end of each day
  • Complete daily field reports.
Experience:
  • Previous experience as a Maryland Asbestos Supervisor
  • Ability to perform work on a US Military Facility required
  • Ability to speak Spanish preferred
  • Ability to read blueprints and drawings
  • OSHA 30 and HAZWOPER 40 required - if not be willing to obtain immediately
  • High School Diploma, GED, or vocational schooling
Working Environment/Physical Demands: Minimum of 2 years related field experience with construction and management.
  • Work may be performed under extreme weather conditions including hot and cold ambient temperatures.
  • Must be able to perform tasks that involve bending, lifting, walking, carrying, and using a force equal to lifting 50 to 100 pounds.
  • Qualified Candidate must be able to pass a physical examination by medical professional for the anticipated work requirements.
  • Must be able to pass a background check and be able to obtain access to military bases across the United States.
  • A valid driver’s license is required, as well as a safe driving record as measured by company policy.
