This role is a blend of a strategic thinker and an analytical doer. This role is ideal for someone capable of developing comprehensive SEO strategies and diving deep into data analysis to inform decisions and drive growth. You'll play a crucial role in improving our online presence, ensuring our content is visible and impactful. This position demands a proactive approach to SEO, from strategic planning to execution, and requires strong collaboration skills to work effectively across multiple lines of business and with various marketing teams.This hire may be based in Washington, D.C.; Richmond, VA; or open to remote employment within the continental United States.Position Responsibilities:
  • Strategic SEO leadership: Develop and implement SEO strategies that align with EAB's overarching goals, focusing on maximizing digital visibility, user engagement, and lead generation.
  • Analytical expertise: Employ advanced analytical skills to interpret SEO data, turning raw data into actionable insights that drive strategy adjustments and optimizations.
  • Expertise in SEO tools and WordPress: Utilize in-depth knowledge of essential SEO tools (Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Moz) and WordPress. Experience with Marketo and Salesforce is highly desirable for integrating SEO with broader marketing and CRM strategies.
  • SEO campaign management: Oversee all SEO activities, from keyword research and content optimization to technical SEO adjustments and link-building strategies.
  • Data-driven optimization: Analyze performance data to refine and adjust SEO strategies, ensuring maximum impact and alignment with organizational goals.
  • Hands-on SEO execution: Lead keyword research, content optimization, link building, and technical SEO audits, applying best practices to enhance SEO performance across all initiatives.
  • Cross-departmental collaboration: Work closely with product marketing, website user experience, and other teams to integrate SEO best practices across EAB's digital efforts.
  • Leadership and development: Mentor and guide the digital marketing team, fostering an environment of learning and growth to stay ahead of SEO trends and best practices.
  • Performance reporting: Regularly monitor and report on SEO performance, providing stakeholders with insights and actionable steps for continuous improvement.
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, information technology, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 3 - 4+ years of experience, with a strong track record of developing and executing successful SEO strategies, particularly in a leadership role. This includes a deep understanding of SEO principles and the ability to apply them in a strategic manner.
  • Proven expertise in utilizing SEO tools (Google Analytics, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Moz) and WordPress.
  • Demonstrated capability in not only leading SEO strategies but also taking a hands-on approach to implement solutions directly. This unique blend of strategic leadership and practical execution is crucial for navigating the fast-paced and ever-evolving landscape of SEO.
  • Exceptional analytical skills, with the ability to distill complex data into actionable insights and strategies. This includes a proficiency in evaluating SEO performance metrics to guide strategic decisions and optimize results.
  • Strong communication skills, enabling effective collaboration across teams and clear presentation of strategies and outcomes to stakeholders at all levels.
  • A passion for continuous learning and development in SEO and digital marketing, keeping abreast of the latest trends, techniques, and algorithm changes to maintain a competitive edge.

Actual salary varies due to factors that may include but not be limited to relevant experience, skills, and location. At EAB, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the starting salary range for their role.This hire will additionally be eligible for discretionary bonus or incentive compensation.
