Job Description:
The role is for an AVP, Segment Planning within the Global Fund Manager, Pension, and Insurance Segments Management organization working on the Segment Planning Team.
The Segment Planning Team is responsible forIdentifying and understanding segment specific needs, trends and opportunities Developing and executing segment specific strategies and action plans Creating business cases for new service offerings Partnering with Product Executives to prioritize new product initiatives Working with Finance to develop segment specific reporting metrics Working with Product and Marketing to ensure that our various products and services are appropriately packaged and positioned to truly differentiate us in the marketplace
The AVP, Segment Planning will support all of the above team objectives.
Specific responsibilities will include:Implementing a process for tracking and ongoing evaluation of changing market, regulatory, competitive, and client dynamics Helping Segment Leads build segment specific strategic plans and business cases
Developing and reporting metrics that track segment performance Supporting the entire team by analyzing segment specific trends and identifying opportunities to improve our performance in each of our segments


Qualifications
Skills Required:Superior strategic/break-through thinking and problem solving abilities Exceptional logical writing and verbal communication skills Advanced analytical skills (financial modeling and statistical analysis) Strong research skills Excellent influence skills Knowledge of financial markets and preferably securities services productsQualifications/Experience:College degree and 4-6 years experience or MBA with minimum 3 years pre-MBA work experience Experience working in financial services and preferable securities services Exceptional communication skills Strong project management abilities including the ability to juggle multiple deliverables simultaneously and manage in a cross-functional environment Proven experience working in cross-functional team teams
