Description:The Programmer is responsible for creating, testing, documentation, implementation and maintenance of computer software. The programmer is also responsible for rotational 24/7 on-call support as well as the completion of various business tasks as assigned by the Information Systems (I/S) department manager.Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent technical experience is required. Must demonstrate a proficiency in one or more computer languages used at BCBST. These include Cobol, Visual Basic, C++ and Java. A working knowledge of DB2, SQL Server and Sybase is a plus. The incumbent must make an acceptable score on the CPAB (Computer Programmer Aptitude Battery)Good analytical and coding skills. This position requires strong analytical skills; excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to effectively interface with end-users, customers, vendors, peers, and management; good organizational skills. This position will support the MQ Workflow and FileNET P8 applications in a multi-platform environment . The position will also support and create E-forms using IBM's Workplace forms.
