Major Contract Organizer-Developer/Senior Sales Representative

FUNCTION
To identify opportunities, engage non-profit partners and appropriate governmental entities, and to conclude sales agreements that bring The Benefit Bank system (TBB) to a new state or add a major new benefit area to those supported by SfP’s services.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
□ Develop affiliate structure within assigned states to create and demonstrate significant support for the product.
□ Work with affiliate(s) and Solutions for Progress management to build the case for state and other funding for TBB in assigned states. Drive negotiations to conclude sales agreements between the state government, TBB affiliate(s) and Solutions for Progress.
□ In conjunction with Sales Support Product Management manage the process and close the sale of additional new benefit areas supported by SfP’s services to the Benefit Delivery System.
□ Ensure that progress of all assigned states and projects is effectively communicated internally, in part through its accurate reporting in the Sales Tracking and the Contact Management Systems.
□ Develop other related technology sales opportunities with private, nonprofit, and public sector entities.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Undergraduate Degree
Graduate Education preferred, but not required

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
• Three to five years successful sales experience, or a proven track record of large dollar nonprofit fundraising, State-wide organizing, and/or service contract negotiations.
• Familiarity with mid and large size non-profits, community-based organizations, and government agencies, as well as their structures and processes relating to benefits.
• Familiarity and comfort with presentations, formal and informal, to senior state and municipal officials such as Governors, Majority Leaders, State Secretaries.
• Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills are essential.
• Comfort and familiarity with the entire Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience working with contact database software such as ACT.
• Detailed record keeping and reporting skills.
