Trade Finance Business Development / Sales
Position Responsibilities:
* This local representative will work as a member of the team to identify and originate asset-based and trade finance transactions up to US$50 million in size.
* The individual will be primarily responsible for the client relationship development in originating and executing transactions, marketing to clients, ongoing account relations, structuring the transactions, negotiating terms and conditions, handling documentation for complex trade and export related transactions and coordinating all parties involved.
* Knowledge of receivable and payable financing or international finance agreements.
* Demonstrate marketing success with middle-market Brazilian companies and achieve new account development.
* Develop a strong network of financial professionals, including commercial bankers, asset-based lenders, equity and debt sponsor groups and business consultants that can help identify new clients across Brazil.
* Team player who can participate in joint in-person meetings or conference calls with our New York based firm Managers/and have the ability to progressively close the deals with the clients on one's own.
* A combination of the skills set described above is desirable, particularly sales skills, creativity and a strong desire to succeed.
Requirements:
* Must be an excellent face-to-face and telephone communicator.
* Demonstrated ability to work independently in the field at a consistently high level of productivity, but also be a team player in supporting other team members.
* Prior experience in a business development role, preferably in the middle market.
* Understanding of finance and financing products. * Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and PowerPoint desirable, and CRM programs.
* Portuguese, English language proficiency required. Spanish desirable.
* Experience working on an incentive-based compensation structure.
* 5 plus years experience with a commercial bank or finance company with progressive responsibilities
* MBA or advanced degree desirable.
